The Wishlist Isn't Just a Wishlist

There's a little heart icon sitting on every product in this shop now. You can click it, forget about it, and move on with your day. That's fine. But if you've got a minute, I want to tell you what that heart actually does; because it's not just a "save for later" button!
It's a compass. (Yeah, like the one on my arm!)
Here's the thing about building a shop around a world that has been in my head for seventeen years: I have a lot of ideas for what could exist in it. Diorama sets for every major location. Enamel pins for half the cast. A tarot deck based on the magic systems. A hand-bound edition of Eiren's alchemical notes as if he'd actually written them. I could spend the next five years just making things and never run out of ideas.
What I don't have is five years, or an infinite production budget, or the ability to read your mind about which of those ideas actually makes you want to pull out your wallet versus which ones just make you go "huh, mhm, neat" and scroll past.
So instead of guessing, I'm asking the wishlist to guess for me.
How this actually works: every item you add to your wishlist tells me something relevant. Not "this got a lot of likes on Instagram"; actual purchase intent, from actual people who care enough about Mortrael to bookmark something they'd want to own. When a product sits with a healthy wishlist count, that's my green light to move it from "maybe someday" to "actively being made." When something sits there quietly with barely a click, that's useful information too, because it means I build something else first.
The diorama collection will be the first real test of this. Locations, sets, and which one gets a second run or gets a sibling set- is going to depend heavily on which ones you're actually wishlisting, not just which ones I personally think are the coolest (though between us, I have opinions about "The Bookshop").
This also means the shop is going to grow a little differently than a typical merch store. You won't just see "new drop, buy now." You'll sometimes see things sitting in a kind of pre-production limbo; visible, wishlistable, not yet produced, because I want you to have a say before I've sunk weeks into making something nobody wanted. (Even though, as you will be able to see, I already put quite a chunk of work into every single of those ideas when I put them on here)
If you're part of the Discord or the wider Eldora's Slumber Society, this is basically an open invitation: wishlist shamelessly. Add the things you actually want, not the things you think you should want. That's the only way this works as a real signal instead of noise.
Seventeen years of worldbuilding got me here. What gets built next is, genuinely, up to you.
Fabian, your friendly neighbourhood writerman
